Build Like a King!

I have been building Lego sets for 25+ years and this has easily been one of my all-time favorites! For me, the Lion Knight's Castle had all of the right components; the nostalgia factor for those that grew up on the Castle System, many intricate details, a plethora of mini figures, and very creative build techniques! I really enjoyed the 90 Years of Play sets from Lego this year. The Lion Knight's Castle looks great next to the Forest Hideout (#40567) on a desk/shelf. While the price may be on the high side, I believe even King Leo would agree this Castle is best yet! Way to go, Lego!

With so many recent sets leaving me wanting more it is great that they went back to their origins with this. I have thoughly loved the set and it reminds me of building in my youth.

Pricey but amazing!

Obviously, everyone agrees that Lego has gone wild with their pricing lately..and that makes me pass more often on new sets I want, even though I can afford them. They would probably sell more units overall if they made them more “valuable” like they were only a few months ago. That being said, this set’s value is solid and it is my new favorite set ever! In the 90’s as a kid, my parents didn’t have much money but when they got me toys it was always Lego Castle Sets. I Loved them so much. I had a break from Lego for like 20+ years and got back into it in 2017 to make mocs and city/modular stuff. That has been great but THIS set finally brought back all the joy and wonder I felt as a kid again. Excellent set! Very detailed. Beautiful, polished and super fun build! Lego, PLEASE Make more Castle themed sets like this. Smaller ones even like the Forestmen’s Hideout remake. Or maybe some haunted stuff, blister packs of troops, horsemen and caravans, jousting tourneys etc. This theme is the best!

I thought that this set was really intricately built, with really amazing techniques with the roof of the cottage and the look of how all the separate sections fit together. I really had fun with the castle and would hope to see more sets calling back to the old themes with great designs like this one.
