Good to see a quality castle set back

I’ve been a big fan of castle Lego since the early 1980’s. I still have all of my old sets and I stopped buying castle themed Lego sets after the early 1990’s because they just seemed to lose much of what made them great, and many were too simplistic and not realistic enough. My wife bought me this set for Christmas and I was really excited to see how it hearkened back to my favorite factions (Lions, Black Falcons, and Forestmen) and it even had some peasants. The build was fun, although I felt like sometimes things were designed a little too complex just so the designers could show how creative they were. Overall a neat design however with a LOT of playability crammed into a relatively small area. My biggest complaint is the amount of female knights. I’m all for equality, but make the heads two sided with male on one side and female on the other. I like some historical realism in my castle Legos and there weren’t a bunch of female knights roaming the countryside. Come on Lego. We don’t need the gender equality forced on us in your sets. I have both daughters and sons and they all found it weird how many female knights there were in this set. Should’ve called it Amazonian Castle. LOL!

Bring The Nostalgia!

I owned many of the original castle sets in the 1980s. Then I stopped playing with legos in the 1990s. I randomly came across this and I was motivated to share Legos with my two daughters (3 & 6). They love it and now we all build Legos together. We can all share in the same excitment.

Amazing castle

This castle was so much fun watching my 9 year old build he absolutely loves Lego and all about Lego amazing products and totally a building Lego brick this castle will not disappoint and will be hours of fun imagination play time

Better castle than the old yellow one

I've been into Lego since I was a kid, and this set is the pinnacle of my childhood Lego dreams. All the details and hidden features here are fantastic. This set looks good on display and really shines when you open it up and get some minifigs inside. This makes me feel like a happy little kid again. I think it's well worth the money even though it is an expensive toy. I think this holds up better than some of my UCS sets, just because it invites you to play with it, not just look at it. My favorite set of 2022.
