My 9.5 year old son earned money to buy this set. He says, “This is the best set ever. It’s a little expensive for what it is, but it is still awesome. I love that it comes with lots of weapons and has a lot of details. It was a little harder to build, but not too bad — I built it alone and didn’t need help.”
I loooooooove this set all the way. It was and still is my dream lego. So much to do. The secret door, cavern. Gate, bridge, detailed rooms, everything. I love the people, the design, the story, the secret stuff, the function, everything. What a fun, modern, creative, awesome, phenomenal, big, and ridiculously detailed set. I so recommend this product.
This is one of the coolest Lego builds we've done. Bought for my husband who's nostalgic for the old castles. It's got so many neat features, trap doors, portcullis, etc. My kids love playing with it now that it's built. Also love love love that it has a queen and a bunch of female knights!!
This set has to be my favorite I can't think of another set that rivals this. My wife and I built this together. The set comes with two giant manuals for each side so it a very co-op easy build. If you are a castle fan this is a must have!
It’s this set that reignited my passion for Lego castle. It’s a wonderful experience to build and a pleasure to view and play with. It’s the must have Lego set of all time.
The Lego Lion Castle set is hands down one of the best Lego-building experiences I've ever had. From the moment I opened the box, I was blown away by the incredible building techniques used to create this masterpiece.
Not only is the Lion Castle aesthetically pleasing, with its intricate details and impressive size, but it's also incredibly playable. The set features a range of exciting functions and features that make it perfect for imaginative play. From the functioning drawbridge to the hidden war room, there are so many fun elements to discover and enjoy.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Lego Lion Castle set highly enough. It's a true masterpiece and a testament to the incredible talent and creativity of the Lego design team. Kudos to them for creating such an amazing set.
Wow, what can I really say other than to start with the title. This set is a Legacy piece, in terms of overall scale, mass appeal, beauty, fun and play-ability, and mini fig representation, I think this is LEGO's greatest set ever made. It did its job to get a 40 year old buying LEGO once more after oh about 25 years of rest. This is the set I would have wanted as a child and hope to see LEGO make more of this caliber. Its not perfect, its missing a throne room, and a king, but all that is easily amendable using bricks and pieces. The thatched roof on a castle is questionable, but it looks so good I am happy its there. Though this is so well designed it would be difficult to really improve much. I did make some changes though, such as putting the dungeon in the catacombs below the castle where the forest mans hide out was, and making the dungeon more of a knights quarters. There is just so many stories that can be made with this since its not all about fighting and is half a doll house within a fortress. I also made the bell tower taller than the rest and extended the fortifications a brick for more defense, and upgraded the ramp. The major down side is there are not other sets to go with it yet... we need a small get away ship for the back exit, and oh so much more. Expect to set aside a couple or more days to fully put this together, this is way beyond any LEGO set I made as a kid and was a bit of a marathon to get through, but each section was fun to put together and see LEGO use so many different techniques and pieces as well.
