I live in area with very hard water and I have gone through dishwashers that eventually wore out due to the water's deteriorating effects. I picked this Maytag because of the stainless steel tub primarily. It has turned out to be the best investment! It works great, runs quiet, looks great and has some of the best features on the market. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, I absolutely love it!!

Looks Amazing!

Bought this 5 years ago, looks amazing in my kitchen but now it's starting to have issues and the impellar broke down or so the repair guy thought it was that, it wasn't. The piece he then thought it was wasn't available and wanted me to purchase some expensive part on a whim thinking that was the cause.It's pretty Loud while running which means I have to delay it till people aren't around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love how quiet!

The thing that impressed me the most about this dishwasher is how quiet it is. There have been several times I have opened the dishwasher to put something in it and realized it was running only after I had opened it! The other thing I appreciate is the sleek design and the capacity inside. I like being able to put tall glasses on the top rack without issue (a problem with my last dishwasher!) Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, I would purchase it again and I would recommend this product to a friend without hesitation.

After 8 years in a new home the cheap appliances it came with started dying 1 by 1. After plenty of research this unit was the best priced for the Value and it runs so quiet we barely notice its on. And it looks great to

Clean, Quiet, and Efficient

I feel like George Jetson when I push the start button. Super quiet, energy-efficient, stainless interior, with lots of options. The sealed buttons are adequate in number without being too complicated.. I just used the "sanitize" option to prep canning jars for home canning.

Good in everyway Except dinner plate tines are TOO SHORT!

The bottom rack tines for dinner plates are TOO SHORT! My dinner plates flop around and chip. 3.5" is not tall enough to securely hold large plates, especially if they are on the thin side. Otherwise, this dishwasher is everything I was looking for. It cleans well, love the look and it's very quiet, but that doesn't make up for chipping my plates. Just wish I could buy a replacement rack that was better designed. All the higher end dishwashers that I looked at had taller plate tines on at least half the bottom rack. It would be a pretty easy fix Maytag!You need more options for the "cons" list so I'll have check one that doesn't apply.

Was concerned about it beig too noisey because it sits near the entryway to our Family Room, but it is not. In fact, the first couple of times I used it, I had to listen to be sure it was running. Dishes get clean even with the light cycle. I tend to pre-rinse my dishes a bit because sometimes they sit in the dishwasher a couple of days before it is full and I wash them.

Solid performer with good Quality

I have had this dishwasher for several months now. It appears to be a very solid product. Very quiet in most modes, cleans dishes/pots/glasswear/cutlery very well, and also cleans out food scraps and muck readily. Features are well designed: roomy, doortop controls are easy to use, soap and rinse dispensers easy to use. Stainless steel interior is very nice. Works especially well with new dishwasher gel packs or pellets.My very minor critiques: cutlery trays could seat in-place more securely, could use stemware clips in top shelf. That is about all. Based on experience so far, I can strongly recommend this model of Maytag.
