The kettle looks sleek and functional. If it lasts as long as my previous one, eight plus years, I will be happy. I’d feel better if the lid was not a direct lift off style.

Great so far but did hear an odd noise on startup one morning. Took kettle off of base and didn’t notice anything odd. Put kettle back on base and it operated as usual without an extra noise. I use the kettle daily and enjoy it.
