There are 2 small rubber tube inside the stainless steel kettle for water level. I think the rubber is really bad for health when the kettle is super hot when it boils water.

I like the look of it… it does take up real estate on my counter, so I pay attention to that. The 3 minutes to heat up water is probably only for the minimum amount. The first clean, with a complete 1.8 liters of water, with faucet temperature water, on a 74F degree day, took 7 minutes 35 seconds to heat the water and shut off.
So far only two uses, but it’s helping with exactly what we want, hot water. In the future, I will also use it to heat up water for cooking/boiling. This helps speed up the process of the cooking/boiling.
I’m giving it 4 stars based on our limited amount of usage and experience with it. In the future, if this allows me to update, I would be happy to re-rate it.
