Like the light goes off when water is boiling

Works great except I thought I wished it automatically shut off when removed from the base. The old electric pot I had flipped off when removed from base. This one doesn't as it will confine to boil when placed back on the base until you manually shut it off or unplug it.
Of course, that's the part that broke on my last one. Hopefully, this one will hold up well since it doesn't flip off automatically.

We were doing a Winter ONEDERLAND birthday party for my 1 year old and we were serving hot chocolate to go with the theme and it worked great
