We bought this to replace our identical kettle which was a few years old. We found that it was leaking onto the electric base. We thought that to be a fire or electrical hazard and so bought this to replace it.

Its alright, only that when it gets hot, it overflows out the kettle. Wonder if there is a better model at solving this issue
