They call them Tri-Grip, but there are at least 4 different grips you can use—3 overhand and 1 underhand.
Work great in concert with included dip bars and the included shoulder-press/hamstring/ab bars mounted at the bottom on the TotalGym Apex G5.
Can easily and quickly (leave all bars in place between these exercises) alternate between ‘pushing’ and ‘pulling’ upper-body calisthentic-type strengthening exercises—hit the . . . —lower pecs (dips—lie on back one set; lie on stomach another set), —lats (dips/pull-ups all grip and body positions), —delts (shoulder press-ups; lie on stomach and also lie on back in diff sets), —biceps (pullups all grip positions), —triceps (dips and shoulder press-ups), —traps (shoulder press-up when upper arm gets beyond level with shoulder during 2nd half of full range of motion, when the traps elevate the shoulder girdle and pull shoulder joint up and closer to ears), —isometric forearms/grip (pullups, all grip positions).
—Immediately after weighted squats (using the optional weight-bar) and weighted calf-raises, this how i begin my Total-Gym workout to pre-fatigue major upper-body muscle groups before going to some isolation exercises using the cables (remove dip and tri-grip bars before using cables).
I LOVE IT!!! Before this, I was using the the leg accessory for pull-ups as well. And I really love the ab cruncher as well!!! Thank you so much for adding so much more JOY to my Total Gym workouts!!! A VERY GRATEFUL Brian
If you are missing the gym and your ability to do pull ups this is the right attachment for you. Great purchase. My total gym keeps surprising me with new workouts that make me love it even more.
I am very happy with this purchase. I feel I am getting more definition in my back and shoulders. The product seems very well made. It is very easy to attach to the TG. Total gym direct had it delivered in a timely manner. No complaints whatsoever.
