Pretty Complicated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one’s not for me, I’ll be sticking to my Nespresso! If you’re a slow waker up who needs coffee to function, this machine isn’t for you either! I do like that it comes with everything you need except the coffee but there’s way too many steps for me and I don’t like that the only options are two or four shots of espresso since I frequently only want one.

Practice makes perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a very hard time getting the portafilter into the machine. After a few times, you get used to it. Prior to owning this machine, the only experience I had with an espresso machine was a Breville machine at work. I will say that machine was a little more user friendly but I love the compact nature of this Mr. Coffee machine. It’s not terribly loud when it’s brewing. The steamer has the notorious screech at times, but that’s normal. It’s a great addition to our coffee bar.

Very easy but tricky to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great machine, the espresso is great and that feature is pretty easy to use. I did have some trial and error with the steaming wand and some milk flying everywhere, but otherwise no issues here.

I finally took the time to open/set up/use this Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso Maker. This fancy contraption makes espresso shots and froths milk! It comes with everything you would need including a coffee scooper, measuring pitcher, frothing cup ect. This took forever because I was recording and learning at the same time. One thing I’ll have to figure out is the frother. Per the directions I did it right but as you can see I made a big mess 🤣 and it’s super hard to lock the handle into place! Overall the coffee was delicious and tasted similar to a Carmel macchiato that I seldomly purchase from Starbies because it’s way too expensive!
Also, as you can also see I have too many coffee machines 😆 this would not be an everyday use so in the cabinet it goes! This will come out when I get the itch for a fancy coffee!

Compact and easier than I expected

This is my first expresso machine and I was nervous to use it at first. It seemed complicated to me. But the instructions are good and I did watch videos to help me. It was a lot easier than I was expecting.
The size is perfect for my counter as I do not have a lot of counter space. It does not take up a lot of room at all!!!
The water pitcher is great and has pictures of steam and water. I also like that the filter retainer cup as it makes it easy to dispose of the grounds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mr coffee espresso maker is a very unique coffee maker. I have always been a traditional coffee drinker. I don't normally drink espressos, cappuccinos or lattes but I wanted to give it a try. It works good and exactly how it says it is supposed to. I didn't like the taste if any of the drinks I made with this. What I did enjoy about this is how convenient it is to make just one cup or shot of coffee. I enjoyed the recipes in the back of the user manual. The user manual breaks down each step very thoroughly and easy to understand. Putting it all together was easy except when connecting the portafilter on the machine. I had to use a bit of strength to get it on and I was afraid I was going to break it. Thankfully I did not. It comes with all the extras measuring cup, frothing pitcher and water pitcher. If you enjoy any types of coffee, cappuccinos or lattes you will really like this alot. It is not all that time consuming when frothing or foaming your milk. And as long as you use 2% milk or lower and it is cold you will get the consistency you are looking for. Like with any other new machine trial and error is how you learn a new machine. This is a highly recommended espresso machine for anyone who enjoys coffee in more ways than just the traditional way. I will continue to use it and play with it until I get the perfect cup for me.

Impressive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had an espresso machine before, so I had no idea how it worked. Thankfully the manual was quite helpful, though it will absolutely make you terrified of your new machine. The steam valve alone made me nervous to use. I'm happy for the warnings about the steam, and the milk frother, but it definitely made me nervous. One heads up, the portafilter is far too difficult to put in place. You must have a lot of upper body strength to use it properly, and I felt like I was going to either break it or my own arm trying to put it into place. I do like the retainer clip on the portafillter- it makes it easy to empty the grounds, though with it being plastic, I worry that it will break easy. Mine hasn't, it's just a concern I have. Otherwise, it's easy to clean, the water was easy to fill, and the espresso was delicious and strong. If you like espresso, it's not a bad machine!

Good but be careful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so this was my first experience with a true espresso machine. The coffee it made was great and I love that the interior isn’t plastic. There is a learning curve however, I burned myself twice with the pressurized water top and threw milk all over my kitchen when using the frother. That could 100% be user error, just keep that in mind. This machine is small but mighty!
