MACHINE EXPLODED! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with the Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso Maker was nothing short of a nightmare & incredibly frustrating. I believe Safety is definitely a top priority when it comes to any product, especially one that involves heat and pressure like an espresso machine. With this product, I can see that was absolutely not the case.
This espresso machine LITERALLY EXPLODED while I was using it for the first time. It was such a scary and dangerous situation, and thankfully for Mr. coffee’s sake, I was not seriously injured, just severely burned on my neck and part of my arm. As someone living in a full household, I emphasize that safety hazards like this should never be taken lightly, and highly would deter those with children, even teenagers from purchasing this product.
As someone with experience as a barista and knowledge of different espresso machines, it's disappointing to see that this product didn't meet basic coffee industry expectations and seriously posed such a risk. I must emphasize that I followed the instructions correctly and carefully. Since having experience with similar machines I thought I would have been ensured a safe and enjoyable brewing experience, which makes me worry about people with no knowledge in such industry.
Based on my firsthand experience, it's clear that this espresso maker is not worth the risk and frustration. It's definitely important to prioritize safety when choosing any appliance for your home. Investing in a Nespresso machine, which is known for its quality and safety, could be a better option if you're looking for a reliable and hassle-free espresso experience.

Solid machine for its price and target audience

-the frother is designed poorly and annoying to clean. The black plastic exterior piece is soaking in the cup in my pic and when removed, shows the dried and hardened milk on the metal nozzle.
-the nozzle has no angle and points straight down. For anyone who already knows how to make coffee, this is very frustrating because it prevents you from actually making true foamed milk for you latte, cappuccino, etc… it’s impossible to steam it properly without the lateral angle.

Perfect for beginners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m the farthest thing from a coffee snob. If it has caffeine, it’s good enough for me, but this machine makes it so easy to make yummy espresso and lattes! The design is nice and compact so it’s perfect for my apartment, and the instructions are well written and easy to follow. I was able to make a nice smooth shot of espresso in less than five minutes on my first try. This machine is absolutely perfect for beginners like me, and I’m sure even a coffee snob would enjoy its simplicity and effectiveness as well.

Mr coffee is okay.

However im not a big fan of single serve machines and unfortunately the frothing part was giving me a hard time. 50/50 chance I could get it right. It's an okay product and priced well. However not for me.

Easy to use

I got it out of the box, washed it and put it in the perfect spot on my counter, it took up hardly any space! It works awesome and I'm enjoying learning to use it! I recommend this Mr. Coffee espresso machine for anyone who needs something that is compact, easy to use and wants to make their own coffee shop drinks at home!
