A little difficult to get the hang of

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, I may be pretty tech savvy but this easy to understand machine beat me. I understand the fact of making the espresso. But I need practice at the frothing abilities. Lol. Other than that, it is a great machine foraquick burst of energyin the morning. A 2 or 4 shot espresso is a great way to wake up in the morning. I would love to have had some recipes added in the box because I had never made espresso before.

Good machine overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall very easy to use and the instructions have details on how to pull espresso and make lattes and cappuccinos. The only options for how many shots to pull are 2 and 4. The instructions explain that when loading the coffee beans into the portafilter, they must be level but not packed too much so water can pass through, and explains to use the scoop provided to do this. The only issue with that is the scoop isn’t deep enough and can’t pack the grounds in effectively when there is only a double shot worth of grounds. The portafilter is also hard to put into the machine because it requires a tight seal and the machine is so light you basically have to hold the machine up to your body to put the filter in correctly. When steaming milk,
it was extremely easy and the instructions gave clear details on how to do it. Overall this machine is easy to use and operate and it makes espresso beautifully and steams milk like a dream and I would highly recommend the product to anyone especially since it’s at a good price point.

Beautifully compact!!

Perfect starter machine; easier than you’d think!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most espresso machines intimidate me, but I also don’t want to spend a fortune on an automatic machine. Mr. Coffee is a brand I’ve known and trusted since I was a child, so this machine is an easy ‘yes’. It’s a basic manual machine with a steam wand. The instructions are clear and straightforward, and they even include recipes for the more commonly known coffeehouse drinks. I use Brita-filtered water and illy espresso. The machine does not take very long to achieve the necessary pressure to brew, and there is really just one control: a knob that can be set to either brew espresso, run steam through the wand, or to be off. Nothing goes ‘kaboom’, and I have proudly made myself several wonderful drinks.

I was able to make a vanilla cappuccino this morning! I love how compact it is so it doesn’t need much counter space like some of the other espresso makers out there. Overall this is a win!
