Decent Espresso - kind of hard to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first espresso maker I have used, so I don't have anything to compare it to other than the taste from my Nespresso Vertuo.
It comes with a coffee scooper, water measuring cup, milk frothing cup, portafilter and the espresso machine with milk steamer. The measuring spoon they give has a flat angled back to press the grounds with, but I think having a tamper would help ensure the grounds are pressed down properly.
The most difficult part is sliding the portafilter into place. Because the machine is light weight, you have to try to hold the machine in place while locking the portafilter in place. I understand that it needs to be a tight fit because of all of the pressure in the system when brewing, but it's almost impossible for me to do this step myself.
The coffee/milk steamer is ok, I think it takes practice making sure it doesn't splatter, and it has a very high pitch whistling sound while it's steaming.
The espresso is good, I think it tastes stronger than my Nespresso Vertuo, but is more work to use. I may use the espresso machine on weekends when my husband can put the portafilter in for me, but the Nespresso is great for when you're running out the door in the morning.
It lost 2 stars because if I lived alone, I would not be able to use it due to not being able to put the portafilter in place. It's possible it is user error on my side (and my husband and my sister who all also tested it out), or that there is a trick I haven't learned yet, but for everyday use it isn't practical for me. If it was easier to use, I would give it 4-5 stars.

Not the safest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a little disappointed that this espresso maker wasn’t what i expected. The frother splashes everywhere and just gives you matter of seconds to be used. The coffee dispenser doesn’t lock very well making this machine not the safest. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Not as Expected

Although it worked well for my situation I don’t know that it would be great for an espresso pro. It feels geared toward entry level.
