Wider bags are needed for steaks, etc. individual boneless chicken is about all I could use these particular bag for. Other bags are more versatile. Love the rectangular canisters and the marinator.

I like this product for many reasons! 6 " bags are not made anymore. Portion control is great for 2 family or single serving.

I like the rolls this product comes in. I can cut the bag to any size I want. I get a lot of bags out of one roll. The price is good for the amount I get. The 6-pack boxes are great. I don't have to buy all the rolls separately.

Just right for certain foods

I am not sure what I was expecting with the idea of the portion pouch. I ended up using it to make smaller portions of an item like meat balls that I purchase in a large bag. I think it will work well for items that are solid or already frozen and you want smaller portions. It is too hard to put stew in since the top is small.

Storing several small portions of one or more items is much easier with the portioned bag. Easier to store foods and much easier to retrieve. Cuts down on freezer chaos.

We like to buy in bulk when we find meat on sale, especially whole pork loins, that we cut into chops & roasts. The FoodSaver sealer itself, is the perfect appliance for packaging & preventing freezer burn. Since it is just my husband & I the Portion Pouches are perfect for 2 pork chops, 2 hamburgers, 2 cube steaks, etc. If someone is coming over, just take out more packages!
