A pre-fab way to do what I was already doing

It's nice to have the perforated split to get smaller bags. I was cutting bags down the middle myself and sealing the sides to get "half bags". Nice to have something that is manufactured to serve that purpose.

I used this product to store single portions of various meats and fish and casserole that were then frozen. The food still appeared fresh and was as tasty as I remembered when eaten about 3 weeks after freezing. I hope that food can be stored in some cases up to 2 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These bags are for small food amounts

These bags are good for small amounts of food. I prefer the full length bags for the rolls. It is hard to fit all food types in these bags. They are not good for cuts of steak or some cuts of chicken. We got a roll with the machine that we purchased, but I'm not sure if I would buy them myself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not What It Used to Be

Foodsaver was at one time my favorite food appliance. Cost cutting has the bags thinner and less likely to hold a good seal. My biggest complaint is the jar sealer. It doesn't - seal, that is. the rubber ring inside the plastic doesn't fit the plastic cap or the glass jar. Air leaks around both. I had to modify the large mouth too enable proper sealing but the regular mouth is still "iffy" after modification.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wished I had started using the Food Saving product a while ago. It's great now being able to buy items on sale or in bulk and then being able to freeze and save for much longer periods. I live by myself and could never take advantage of sale items. That has all changed and I am also saving money. Wahoo

This product works very well. It is very nice for singe servings or for meat for just three people. The perforation helps to use less of the product thus saving money.

different and has potential for several uses

I can see where this new product is quite different from orher products on the market. I am sure there will be many uses that will come to mind in the future. Also, I can see where this product could be a money saver in several areas. I only wish that Foodsaver would develop a product that would keep the bag open while various liquids and simi liquids are being placed in the bags. This would eliminate a lot of "messy" situations and save a lot of time.
