Some issues but worth a try

I love the idea of this product and it is great for portion control. It's been a little weird getting used to it as the opening is a little small, but i love the ability to package two items at once. I have had a little difficulty getting the bags to vacuum properly but it seems like it may be getting them to sit properly in the machine which has been another part of the learning curve. Definitely worth a try.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Portions

I am very happy with the portioned rolls. It provides a more practical use of the bag and cuts down on a lot of waste. Great for single chicken breasts, burger patties, and a serving of vegetables. I am really enjoying portioning small snacks and heat-sealing them for out the door use. Good product and reliable so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

makes it so easy to utilize smaller portions

These pouches are fantastic.
I cure my own meats. After slicing I will fill each half of the pouch with 4-8 ounces and seal.

Splitting off a half pound package of frozen bacon while leaving the other half pound in its pristine vacuumed state has obvious advantages.
Cheese is another food item where these excel. I don't like to freeze cheese. I buy bricks of cheese and slice them at home. I insert a wax square between each slice and fill the pouches. When I open a half pouch I transfer any unused cheese to a food saver Ziploc. Using this method I have cheese that was packed in early January that is still pristine in March.
I expect I could keep it good until October, the original cheese best by date.

I thought I was ordering the normal 11" roll, but ended up with the portion pouch one. Was not happy about this until I started using it. I love being able to make up two bags at once. We eat a lot of precooked shrimp, and after the bag is open, it needs a better seal than is supplied with the product bags. I just divide up the rest and load up both sides of the portion pouch.
The other thing that works great is when you have food that you use semi-regularly but want to keep fresh in between. My best example is an avocado. Once I slice part of it, the rest normally turns brown and it gets mushy, even with plastic wrap, ziploc bags, etc. Now I start with a portion pouch that is longer than I need, and each time I use some, I cut the end off, slice what I need, then put the rest back in the bag and reseal. The avocado stays nice and green, and this works a little better than the FoodSaver resealable bags (for me).

Great for cutlets

This is the perfect size for cutlets. I was using the rolls and trying to cut just the right size was difficult. Now I grab a portion size and it holds just enough cutlets for two people. If I need to feed four, I grab two bags. Easy Peasy! Love it!
