Great for single portions.

I like this because I can put single portions in the freezer for when I am working and my husband needs something. I also cut up and cook chicken to put on salads. I can put enough diced chicken in for a salad or two in one of these. I can also take it to work this way.

We've tried other generic brands which do not work well at all. Too heavy a plastic. They don't shrink properly. Foodsaver bags are the only ones that we can depend on to work as they should for perfect results

My wife and I like using these pouch bags because you do not have to defrost any more than is necessary to use. Less wasteful

We have been using Food Saver products for at least 15-20 years. We hunt for elk and deer here in Wyoming and process the wild game ourselves. We have never lost any game to poor packaging. This is the third sealer we've had and the new design is so quick and easy. We also like the divided bags. They're perfect to slide a full chicken breast in each pocket, that way you only use what you need. Carolyn and Jay

Individual Meals in advance

I received a roll with my new V3880 model. Since everyone in my house seems to be on a different schedule and with different dietary and like issues, this makes individual portions possible without having to make 1/2 bags. I freeze single hamburgers, chicken cutlets and leftovers, and now everyone can chose what they want, when they want. Great designer who came up with these bags!

wonderful for dried goods

My husband and I like to plan ahead in case of emergency. We had bought a large load of rice and wondered how best to protect it after weevils invaded one bag and we had to toss it. I decided to portion out the rice for how much I would normally cook for my family and then poured it into each pouch. It took a half hour of my time and a whole roll of the double pouches, but the rice is secure from those pesky weevils now and the next time I want to cook rice, I just rip off a package, open it up and dump it into the water, no measuring needed.
The only thing that I noticed was that toward the end of the package, there were two partitions that didn't seal very well on one side as the air wasn't sucked out enough. I ended up wasting four bags, but the rest held up well.
