[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As expected, this speaker sounds phenomenal. The Music Studio 7 fills our living room with a complete sound experience from one speaker. We bought it to pair with our Q990D soundbar and extend music beyond our family room and fill the first floor of our house. It does that. It sounds amazing and we are able to hear from every room. Samsung has never disappointed me with the quality of sound or the full depth of music you hear from their speakers.
Disappointed in the horrible connectivity with this speaker. The frequency with which one speaker will disconnect from the group is frustrating. The soundbar is 25 feet away with no obstruction, both connected to the same network and have strong signals but they will disconnect almost every time we try to use them as a group.

Updating the firmware on your Music Studio 7 & Soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. Connect the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner.
2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
- During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
- If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
- When the latest version is installed, no update is performed.
- Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.

Easy to assembled to what I need and connect it to what I want to hear.
Following with the prior comments, the Bass is great addition to the sound.
Sometimes the frequency stinks, but can't complain.
The soundstage needs minor technical help, otherwise not to bad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hey to start the quality on this sounds like money well spent i use this every night when making dinner, taking a shower, car rides or whenever I feel like just listening to music I do use this about 2-3 times a day and I sometimes even use this to talk with family and I don't want to get up so I just use this overall just a fantastic product in general and an all around versatile item whether your listening to music, on a car ride or just bored I would recommend this.

Great sound in a compact and attractive body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressive package in a compact box, with an amazing amount of bass right out of the box. It was simple to pair the device with my phone and it played back all of my audio with no effort. It can get incredible loud too, with no noticeable distortion. The only issue is the limited wired connectivity, the HDMI input is literally useless without a matching Samsung product to go with it. It's also lacking a dedicated OFF switch, so the only way to turn it off is to literally unplug it.
Overall a real winner of a product with great soundstage and clear and sharp playback.

A big win in a small package

I ordered a pair of these as soon as they became available to replace the two sound towers I was using for my bedroom. When they arrived the first thing I noticed was how heavy they are. They are either packing some massive metal or magnets in these things. I mounted them on the wall and the power cord is exceptionally long so there was no problems getting them plugged in. The new app worked quite well right off the bat. Once linked and after an annoyingly long software update for each, I was up and running. It took awhile in the app to.figure out how best to use the speakers. There are no real instructions on how to use the app, which is pretty normal for samsung, but i ended up using them in linked speaker mode. Now for what you really want, the experience. One word, WOW. They pump out bright, clear music. I figured out at this point why they weigh so much. They are very very powerful. They will shake a room if u power them up. For no subs, the base is still there. Not the type that jiggle your inside, but it is still there, somehow. I can not find any distortion in the super high frequencies, or in the super low. They are remarkably good bluetooth speakers. I will probably get a few more and try the grouping option for whole home mood music.
