We're sorry to hear you've found the strap cover difficult to remove. We intentionally designed it to fit securely so the tracker doesn't accidentally detach during everyday use, but we appreciate that it can feel a little tight initially.

You’re absolutely right — the strap cover was designed with a slightly firmer lock to ensure it stays securely attached to whatever it’s clipped to (like bags, bikes, or keys) and doesn’t slide off accidentally. That said, we completely understand it can feel a bit tight at first, especially for kids. The mechanism does loosen slightly with use, and it’s intentionally designed that way to stay firm and secure over time.

We also really appreciate you mentioning the size. The inbuilt elastic strap does add a touch of thickness, but by diameter, Roam is actually about the same as an AirTag. Once you add an accessory to an AirTag, it often becomes bulkier and less flexible — and those accessories usually end up in landfills once they’re no longer needed. Our goal with Roam was to build that versatility in, so you don’t need extra add-ons for different use cases.
