The 17 inch screen is a great improvement over previous laptops.
The only downside is that it doesn't have an illuminated keyboard!!
The store didn't have a sample to test so I looked at one with a smaller screen and was excellent.

Can't comment on set up as my daughter did it all but it was quick and straightforward from what she said, even linked my phone to it. I don't use it much, banking for my dad and some other small tasks but will be doing some courses once I have recovered from surgery so looking forward to using it more. This was a replacement for one that was insured and couldn't be repaired so wasn't given a choice, but it was the right choice and its far superior to my old one.

Nice big screen and touch pad but no SD slot

My third HP laptop is adequate for my simple personal needs with a big screen suitable for my elderly vision and a nice big touch pad suitable for my old fingers. I am disappointed to find that it has NO SD card slot! I was also disappointed to discover that I had to buy a special adaptor or charger, which was not noted in the sales website.
