Needs New Recipe Booklet/Instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The recipe booklet is very hard to follow. The measuring cup is not user friendly. The instructions are hard to follow. After trying to make pasta twice...with no luck, I wish I never spent the money buying this machine. My granddaughter doesn't want to try making pasta anymore as the machine is too frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great! Simple to use and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Avance pasta maker is simple to use. It weighs to flour and then specifies the volume of liquid to add for the perfect dough. The fresh pasta from this machine is a joy to eat. So simple to disassemble and clean, never fretting to make a batch. I would prefer the flour measurement to be in grams, but no biggie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use and pretty easy to clean. Exactly as advertised. Been making homemade pasta for years. This is great and cute the time down tremendously. No reason to buy boxed noodles again.

Difficult to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t use the pasta maker much because the first time using it the dough was so thick it clogged up the machine and the second time it was too watery. It’s not easy getting the dry ingredients and the liquid ingredients correct.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

thanks for leaving your feedback. We're sorry to hear you haven't had the chance to make the perfect pasta, yet.
If the flour/water ratio used is not the recommended one, your pasta might break or be too liquid.
There are a few useful tips for the perfect dough: use the “Pasta-making recipe table” ( https://philips.to/3IsxGk4 ) and measure the required amount of water.
If the water flour ratio is correct, the dough sould be crumbly and appear rather dry. This consistency is needed as, with the extrusion forces, this is then turned in the perfect pasta dough.
Kindly use the supplied flour cup and be aware that it is not a standard 8 oz. measuring cup and should not be used as such .
You can use a kitchen scale to measure the flour weight more accurately.
For ideal results use all-purpose flour or flour with higher protein content (for more information, please refer to the chapter 'Using the Pasta Maker' in the user manual or the supplied recipe book).

This pasta maker is great .
