i make pasta without gluten using a recipe in your book. In fact i try 3 recipe in your book only with gluten free flour and they all failed! im very disappointing. I used a scale and all the ingredient you ask, also a binder as xanthane gum... it was a disaster! i made one with buckwheat, and they were beautiful, i cooked them 4 minutes and they disapear in the water... its was like a gruau after cooking...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, we are sorry that you were not able to make the gluten free despite following all the instruction in the booklet. We understand the difficulty in making gluten-free pasta as it easily break before cooking, because gluten-free flour can't give enough elasticity to it. If the water flour ratio is correct the dough should be crumbly and appear rather dry. This consistency is needed as with the extrusion forces this is then turned in the perfect pasta dough. We suggest to try making pasta also with regular flour to be sure the pasta maker it's functioning properly. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. This machine works perfect. The reason everyone complains about the scale has to do with the type of flour being used. It is not a true one cup measure as everyone thinks. I use Pasta Flour from Italy, Semolina Flour, 00 Flour, a combination, or even All Purpose flour. I can tell you it's not the same amount for each flour type. Follow the scale it's never wrong. Use the measuring cup correctly. If you put a egg or two in the measuring cup, that is considered partially liquid after you beat it. So the beaten egg comes up to 20ml for example and the machine tells you to add 150ml of liquid then fill the remain cup up to 150ml water line. Do not follow your cookbook recIpes for pasta, follow the machine instructions. I have used this machine every week for the last year. 10 minutes to make pasta, 10 minutes to clean up. Cleaning is easy. Like all pasta machines clean the discs using the right tools as soon as you are done making pasta. Some times the metal end of a corn holder with one metal prong cut off works better than the cleaning tools provided. If you wait to clean the product it will dry in between the holes and be difficult to clean. I work in commercial foodservice, I sell commercial products, this machine works despite the reviews.
My machine did come with the Philips "cup" but the automatic weigh function still does not come close to accurately "weighing" the flour. I tried many different combinations of flour and liquid with declining results. I even had my daughter, who has a degree in user experience (yes, there is such a thing) try to figure it out and she was frustrated by the directions and the machine's failure to operate consistent with the "directions."
The results were not good and cleaning the discs was not easy.
I really wanted to like this product as it was a gift for father's day and I love pasta but I will not use it any more. I suppose trying to return it without the box and receipt (long gone) would be a nightmare.

Used once so far and the automatic weighing function for the flour was not at all clear--the machine digital readout is in "cups" and the recipe book is in grams, and the picture of the machine in the manual displays grams. I did the conversion but the amount of flour I put in did not correspond to the weight displayed in the readout. I read reviews online and there is similar confusion. The pasta turned out so I will figure it out and once I do I will update my rating.

Hi Gizzy,
Thank you for reaching out. How unfortunate the weighing function is still not working properly, even after converting it. We would like to have a look at the issue and see what we can do,

I received my pasta maker as a Christmas gift. When I went to use it, it malfunctioned. I was able to get an immediate replacement which I love! Easy to use and makes excellent pasta!
