Was missing two dies that should have came with it but Philips sent me ones quickly. Product works well. Need to follow directions carefully otherwise your mix can be too wet or dry. Follow the directions and weights and you will have great tasting home made pasta!!

I was so excited to purchase this cute little pasta maker. It was a huge disappointment. I read the instructions, put in my ingredients and it was a disaster. It mixed the ingredients briefly and began spewing out dry, nasty concrete, as the liquids lay in the bottom of the mixing chamber. With no way to reset it, I decided to just clean up the mess. It took over an hour. No way to push it through as well as no way to take it apart. This is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’ve had auto pasta makers before and never experienced anything like this. Would love to return it.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We're very sorry to hear your Pasta-Maker is acting up. This must be quite inconvenient given you recently purchased this appliance. Allow us to suggest some trouble shootings. It might be the case that the ratio of flour-water provided in the "Flour/water ratio table" might not have been followed correctly. In this case, unplug your pasta maker, clean it and restart the pasta making again. If the water flour ratio is correct the dough should have the following consistency: It should be crumbly and appear rather dry. This consistency is needed as with the extrusion forces this is then turned in the perfect pasta dough. Also, please make sure there are no foreign objects blocking the mixing paddle. Should you have any more questions, please feel free to contact us directly on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Philips/) or Twitter (https://twitter.com/philipscare?lang=en). We're happy to help.
the machine worked mechanically as advertised but did not produce the pasta as advertised. i followed directions exactly as written for flour/liquid mixture. the mixture turned into one big clump of dough as the machine kept turning, , i had to keep stopping the machine, then physically putting the dough into the extruder, then turning on again, i did this repeatedly, then it finally stopped. i got a handfull of pasta that was stuck together!

The ease of making pasta is amazing. The attachments do make pasta with rough edges. The lasagna attachment and penne are horrible. What a waste.

Worked right out of the box with the very precise dough recipes from the included booklet. I am using the metric by weight method as I distrust volume measures, especially for flour.
So far I have tried all three attachments (penne, linguini, and spaghetti) with durum, whole wheat, and AP flours as well as spinach and carrot juice pasta. The basic recipe gives me on average +- 225 grams enough for one large meal or 2 small ones, depending on my appetite.
I was afraid that cleaning was going to be difficult but the internet came to the rescue and found the right technique: disassemble the pasta machine, let the dough dry then easily wipe it off. Rinse with cold or luke-warm water and let dry.
I have ordered the additional disks but there is a one- or two-month-long wait for them. In the meanwhile, I'll be experimenting with the dough recipes (chickpea, gluten-free, flavored).
