After the first use, when I used the second time the piece broke and fell , the part inside dropped inside with the flour when the machine started roll the dough.
I've only had this machine for a year, and one day while making pasta we heard a pop and now it no longer turns on. We have only used it a handful of times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your pasta machine, and understand that this is an inconvenience. If your pasta maker doesn’t work, makes alarm sounds, there might be a simple solution. It could be the case that the pasta maker is overheated because of long usage. Also, the chamber lid might not be assembled properly. Please make sure all the safety pins are fully inserted in their safety switch holes. Depending on your Philips Pasta Maker Model, the safety pins are either one or two pins that need to be in full contact with the switches. Finally, please make sure there are no foreign objects blocking the mixing paddle. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare).
To date I have only used my pasta maker on one occasion (but it's Friday as I write this, so that may change tonight!), and it worked flawlessly. From start to finish, I had fresh fettuccine in 18 minutes! Ingredients are so simple and after eating fresh pasta I don't see myself going back to the dried stuff. Clean-up is a snap and the slim profile of the unit allows me to tuck it in cupboard with ease! It makes for a quick meal both weeknights and weekends. I would recommend this pasta maker to anyone who enjoys fresh pasta!!
The product is easy to use. You avoid trouble of mass in your kitchen. In 20 minutes you have beautiful fresh pasta. Your meal is done fast, and it is tasty. Most important, cleaning the product is easy and fast, especially with additional tools that come with it. I am a happy pasta maker user.
I had received this pasta machine as a gift. I used to spend around 1-2 hours to make homemade pasta.
I am so happy with this pasta machine. I love the design, lightweight, silent, and easy to use.
Just dump ingredients (proper measurement is a must, flour, and liquid measuring cup is included with machine). Turn on the machine and it will do the magic. In 20 min pasta is ready to cook.
I tried different verities of pasta (spinach pasta, wholewheat pasta, beets pasta, semolina pasta and egg noodles) and all came out so good.
Cleaning is easy as far my concern, soak in soapy water and cleaning were done in 5 min.
I wish to have more pasta shape disks (only 3 coming with machine)
