Pours poorly. Literally for sipping only

Bought this as the dedicated thermo bottle to set coffee. Pouring from this bottle always leaves drips of coffee. If I had known it poured so poorly I would have never bought it. Can’t easily return the product as I bought it in route to my vacation. So it is really is for sipping only. I’m curious to know what happened when this product was tested and approved during R&D
