I recently purchased 3 of the S80 models, one for myself and extended family. The ones ive gifted have not been used but the one i have does not give accurate readings when a large amount of alcohol has been consumed. Ive experimented for a couple of weekends and the numbers just do not add up for the amount of alcohol consumed...it gives numbers much lower than they should be according to my gender, body weight, and amount and percentage of alcohol consumed over a given period of time. Im very disappointed because this product is promoted as being so very accurate and at the end of the day thats really the only job it has to do...BE ACCURATE!! It is extremely easy to use and feels durable but again those things really mean nothing if it doesn't work like it says it will...and yes i use clean mouthpieces for each use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband received the breathalyzer as a Christmas gift. Since then we have used it at home to see our BAC. It's important to follow the instructions to get accurate readings. Even though you don't feel impaired you really are plus can be close to the legal limit. So now we use a ride service for most of our outings that involve alcohol.
