Nothing exciting. Needs more in detail. It's too basic. Specially for the price. You should be able to (tap) touch each day and edit. The grocery/to do section should be more in depth.. like add categories, have day by day things to do. Etc.. more like a planner style. You should be able to speak into it.
I have to admit I was very skeptical of this Calendar, and as a busy working Mom I was concerned this would just be another 'thing' for me to manage. But WOW has this reduced stress and improved functioning in our neurospicy family.
It's been several weeks now and we are meeting our goals for more consistent family dinners and healthy meals. Parents have the same information about pediatrician appointments and kid activities, so as Mom I am no longer responsible to know everything. Put differently, this successfully reduced the mental load!!!!! I have used the calendar to schedule in time for my hobbies and activities, which Moms will know is often hard to make happen. Kid uses the chore chart to check his chores and I am being completely honest when I tell you there is less pushback and arguing about chores. My kid who has ADHD wakes up in the morning, checks his schedule, checks his chores, knows what to expect for the day and does stuff on time on his own initiative.
This thing is worth every penny and I wish I'd bought it sooner.
It's fantastic. I am an organization freak as a single working mom of two active kids and the interactive part and easy layout keeps everyone on the same page! We love the calendar and the kids love finishing tasks to see the confetti at the end! A type A mom's dream !
The potential is definitely there and I'll probably hang on to it just to see where it goes but there are definitely design/system flaws and features that should be there but aren't. All I get back as far as feedback is we'll forward it to the design team but looking through the years of people mentioning issues, I don't think they are in a hurry to push out new feature updates. Also having to pay a premium monthly fee just to use the screensaver/slideshow function is a bit of a kick in the pants for how much you are spending for a glorified calendar.
I have the plan to display pictures. I just wish it had a way to show the schedule without psychically tapping the screen as ours is mounted on the wall.
We use to have a dry erase board and would update on a monthly basis. Inevitably something would get left off that was added after the board was filled out. The Skylight calendar has been great as it only takes a second to make a new item for whenever it occurs. The different colors for the different family members is a great visual of who has what going on. This has been perfect for our busy family
