Love that the entire family can see everything in one place on the kitchen wall, but also on our phones. Having homework, dinner, chores, and sports schedules all in one place has been fantastic.

Nice, but needs specific software improvements to be usable

Great device, works nicely. A few things that are critical to making this a long running useful device:
1) Schedule view needs to show the whole day, not just 4 hours. Schedule view is 100% useless only seeing 4 hours. Need to customize # of hours to display similar to # of days is able to be customized. This is a must fix.
2) In Week view, a day box only shows 3 items. This is borderline useless as well as most families have more than 3 things in any given day and having to scroll is ridiculous. If it's a font thing (which is customizable), we need 3 more smaller font options. This is a must fix.
3) need some sort of visual feedback when someone check boxes a chore. It lags for a half second, and then disappears or jumps to the bottom. My kids hit it twice because there is no visual confirmation of touching it, so they inevitably hit the chore that takes its spot. Very annoying.

I had a Hearth Display and that was a flaming pile of garbage. The software on that is a year behind Skylight. Skylight is good but if we don't see some usability software updates, it will slowly stop getting used and this company will go bankrupt and our devices will be worth nothing.

The best decision ever!

I absolutely love this calendar; it’s the most user friendly calendar I’ve ever used. My husband can stay organized as well as myself and each kid as we are all a different color. I love the digital photo frame options and my kids walk by and shout that’s me! I love the to do lists, the grocery lists, dinner plans option and everything else about it. We opted to wall mount ours because of young kids but also cats. If you were debating, this is your sign to pull the trigger and get this calendar!

This calendar has been a great addition to managing our family chores! The kids love having something to physically check off, and I love how I don't have to nag them! I do wish I could make some based on time throughout the day--as in some in the morning/some in the evening--maybe a future update could include this?

We love our Skylight Calendar. Not only has it been a refreshing way to connect with my husband but when our kids and grand kids come to visit they can’t help but notice when the photos of our family are scrolling and it gives a natural opportunity to have a discussion about all of its features and the benefit of finding a positive way to communicate and keep in synch.

Overpriced

We bought this for the kids to be able to see the day but there is no way to see a full day on the calendar, you have to scroll to see the afternoon or evening even when there is nothing in the morning. So they think there is nothing for the day on the calendar. Then the photo portion of the frame repeats the same pictures and videos. We loaded 300 on there and keep seeing the same 20. Great concept, almost there but until then not worth this price.
