Calendar is great

The calendar itself is great. Our bought two as gifts for my daughters with the plus plan. Keep going back and forth via emails and can't get the plus plans in the girls names. They haven't been able to use the plus plan yet.
We had high hopes this would steel line our family… especially for the cost. So far it has not synced our calendars correctly if at all. We have sent emails with dates to our skylight email to be added to the calendar since we paid on purchase for upgraded package and that hasn’t happened. I purchased with one email (my junk email for spam mail) and then set up with my main email which has also created headaches. To be honest we haven’t even used it in the last few weeks
We love it!! I purchased it so we could have a shared calendar but it's so much more!!! My 8 year old uses it for his chore list and he's also able to add things to the grocery list!! No more handwriting lists floating around the house!
We love this new gizmo and we are still learning how to use it. Right now, we notice a few glitches and while it may be user-error, having some trouble working through all our devices to figure out what the problem is. We'll get there!
It would be great if Chores sync'd with the Apple Reminders app. I often say "Hey siri remind to xxxx" which is so helpful. Adding chores to Skylight is a bit of a . . . . Chore Also, the layout of the calendar doesn't quite equal the ability to look at a full month calendar with handwritten events. When I look a calendar I write events on, I can look ahead and see details for each important event. With Skylight you just see that there are x amount of events but you have no way of knowing if it's one you need to prepare for in advance or if it's just a minor reminder. I bought Skylight to replace a whiteboard calendar that was on our fridge and often time find that I miss having that.
This device is good, but limited by where you can use it. It desperately needs a battery and a remote. The fact that it has to be plugged into an outlet is a hindrance. So far it updates as advertised.
This product isn't any easier than using an iPad with a google calendar. The features are fairly limited for each product (chores, dinner, to-do list etc). There are no reminders/alerts if we choose to have them. You have to remember to go into the chores section, or the to-do section. I also don't like that you can't do everything on your web browser or digital app that's available on the physical product. It's so much faster to organize and add things through a computer or phone. It's too late to return it, so for now, it's just being used as an expensive digital photo frame.
Between work, school, activities, and other events our family struggled to manage between various calendars. Having the Skylight Calendar in our kitchen has provided a central place for all the things we need- single point calendar that we categorize by family member, chores lists, grocery list, and to-dos. We love having the app on our phones which allows us to stay on top of the calendar and lists without missing a beat. It's truly the best system for our family. We love it!
