Super easy install but airflow is lacking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I have had an undersized 30” ceiling fan in my workshop room and it just wasn’t cutting it, that said I really like my new Prominence Home Solana 52” ceiling fan and light. It looks nice and works great..... but the airflow seems lighter than expected! So lets get cool and see some details.
First a little TLDR:
Pros:
1) Easy, typical fan install.
2) Quiet, even on high fan RPM.
3) Plastic blades so being in a humid area is an option.
4) Worked perfectly with my existing remote unit

Cons:
1) Lack of a quick style blade connector.
2) Seems to not push as much air on high RPM as my other 52” fans.

IN THE BOX/INSTALLATION – Everything came very well packaged and laid out. The instructions were very clear AND if you have done ceiling fan installs before then this will go quick. All in all from a bare ceiling mount to complete install was just over 30 minutes. The fan feels sturdy and quality made. My single worry was whether the existing remote unit would fit above the mounting bracket and it did, perfectly! The biggest peeve I have with the install is that the blades are screwed in vs having a quick release which most of the current fans come with but again this is more of a nitpick than a real issue. Final note here is that this fan came with the LED bulbs which are dimmable, THAT in my book is a huge plus!
USE – Use is straightforward, you have pull chains for the light and the fan controls. The nice thing is they are labeled by being cast into the pull handles to avoid confusion. For the fan you have three speeds and as for the light you have only on and off, the settings for both are accomplished via the pull chains. Now in my case we are using my existing remote control and it works perfectly with the fan to both control fan speed AND dim the lights. There is a reverse switch on the fan above the light in an easily accessible area so that, should you desire, you can reverse the spin direction for winter use.
FINAL THOUGHTS – I like this fan and it’s overall design, it looks well made and tropical, a plus since I am in Florida, BUT the airflow, in my opinion is lacking! I have a 52” fan in three other rooms, one installed flush and the others on down rods as this one is and this fan on high at best pushes air at an amount the others do on medium. Now I have no way to actually measure this and am going off feel, but it truly feels light to me. That said I do not know the claimed CFM of the other fans so it could simply be a difference in CFM so no star loss from me. All in all a VERY quiet and nice fan!

Nice fan!

The entire installation and setup took around 30 minutes with no previous experience. It looks really nice and has two blade options which is very cool. I would definitely reccomend this fan!

Deck upgrade

Seen as how I live in Texas I absolutely needed a fan for outside, and decided to go with this one. The color provided a great vibe as I think white for the outdoor just makes me feel calm. I like the pull chain as well because it gives me the ability to change speeds. I really love it and it makes the deck so much better

Beautiful fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for the perfect fan for my indoor/outdoor patio when I came across this Prominence Home - 52" Solana, White, Pull Chain, Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan. It was very easy to install, and works so good. The light is very bright and looks great. The fan works well on all speeds and cools it off quickly. I would indeed recommend.

Pretty fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is super easy to install, by following the directions. We didn't have any issues whatsoever with the install. It does hang a little lower than thr previous fan did we had in the room, but its not an issue for me. Puts out a lot of air, and I like that the blades are reversible in design. So easy to change up the look by just swapping the blades around.

Basic Fan
