Nice trimmer, but . . .

I've had mine for about a year and although it works fine, the run time is terrible. A full charge might trim my beard twice. the motor seems to be very slow compared to other trimmers I've owned and the detail trimmer (ear/nose) is awkwardly positions and very hard for me to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm pretty disappointed with the trimmer. There are two main reasons for this. This first and most important is that is just doesn't trim well. My Panasonic that I was going to replace would trim my beard and moustache in 1-2 passes. The Series 9 Braun took so many that I actually gave up and went back to the Panasonic on the first use. The second is that it uses a new charging port. I got it initially with the expectation of being able to use the same charger and my razor and toothbrush, which would have simplified travel a lot. Braun has unfortunately decided to use a different charging port for this one. The charging port is a small issue compared to the poor performance of the product, though. Very disappointed given how much I like my other Braun products. Also, the 100 day guarantee is nearly worthless. You pay to send it back, they'll think about it for 2 months, then send you a prepaid debit card you'll never be able to use all the funds on. That's the part that stings the most. It's also disappointing it's not made in Germany like my series 9 toothbrush and razor.
The trimmer does look nice, for what it's worth.
