I had been smoking with traeger pellets for nearly a year. My first smoke with these and when I smelled the smoke after starting I thought these would be good. I had always noticed traeger was pretty aromatic at the start of the cook, but bear mountain blew me away midway through the cook when I went to check on things. Tons of hickory smell. That smoke smell translated well into a great smoke taste on the meat.
