I was able to mow 1/5 acre on my first charge.
Love the mower otherwise, fun ride with good turning radius. The rapid charger is quick. I feel if the mower came with 4 of the 8ah batteries the mowing time would be much closer to my expectations.

I cut about 1.5 acres of grass and can get nearly all of it done with 6 batteries although 8 would be perfect. The machine is so quiet compared to the gas alternative and even after engaging the blades you can still listen to a podcast or ball game while mowing if you're using noise cancelling ear buds. The mower handles tall grass easily and the elimination of belts with direct power to the blades is a game changer. I'm not fond of the bagging attachment receptacles however. They're a mesh bag as opposed to rigid plastic and are somewhat harder to dump. That's the only fault I've found so far.

But I have to say, this is an exceptional, well thought out mower. I can cut my 1/2 acre lawn with only 2 batteries, but it's nice to have 4 just in case. After much research I decided on the CRT 426 because I wanted something environmentally friendly and did not want to deal with engines, belts, carburetors, and gas. This mower has low maintenance...replacing gear box oil is all I can see. I have almost 2/3 acres and the battery life is not an issue, which was my main concern. The turning radius is tight around mulch beds and trees at a slow speed. This drives like a golf cart...press the "gas" more to speed up, let off to slow down. I recommend this product!
