[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this mower for 4 months now and I am very pleased with it. I have a half-acre yard and I can mow it twice on one charge. I have had a few issues with traction in tight turns but nothing unusual. Love the “cargo bed” in the back instead of a hot, noisy motor. So easy to maneuver and the ride is smooth. Cutting height is very easy to adjust.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I booth this 2 weeks ago and it is smooth and quiet. Takes a second to get used to it but after 15 minutes all systems were a go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large property and have spent years maintaining gas powered mowers. The Greenworks is a great investment. Like move EV vehicles and equipment, it requires minimal maintenance and just goes. Can I use it all day? No, nor would I want to. I can move 2 acres easily, plug it in, and continue later that day. We manage our pasture, expansive lawns, and grasslined drive with it and enjoy the ease of use, the quiet, and do not miss the smell of gasoline. Greenworks is a great company to work with.
I thought this would an answer to prayer after owning gas mowers for over 60 years. Shortly after I receive this mower it 2022 it started giving a MR23 code. This means the right mower is overheating. I contacted Greenworks and they were great and sent out a new motor. It was late fall so when the motor arrived I put it on the shelf for install in the spring of 2023. Installed it and it did not work. So I put the old motor back and mowed. The mower would mow about 3/4 of my 1.5 acre and throw codes. I let it coold and kept going. When I contacted Greenworks they said they changed there policy and no longer send out parts and I was required to take it to an authorized repair shop, 60 miles away. This was peak season and I knew it meant taking it there, on a trailer. Dropping it off and likely waiting a few weeks to get it back. So I suffered through the summer and figured I would do it in the fall. In the mean time I looked at the motor they had sent and found a teminal that was not fully seated in the connector. I fixed the terminal and reintalled the motor. Everything worked. So for nearly a year I have been a happy camper. Then about a month ago it started throwing the same code along with ML23. I am fed up with constant shutting down of the mower. It now only mows half my front yard, about a normal yard size and I have to let it cool down. Never buying Greenworks again.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet

Hello Jim 197052. Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the 80V Riding Mower. An MR23 code indicates the right blade motor has overheated, which shuts off the blades to protect the system. Allowing the mower to cool, clearing debris from the deck, checking fully charged batteries, or adjusting mowing speed and height often resolves the issue. If the code continues, a dealer can run a diagnostic to determine the cause. We understand that taking the mower to a repair shop may not be ideal, and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We hope the dealer can get it fixed quickly and provide a clear explanation so you feel confident in the repair. If there is anything else, we can do for you please let us know or give us a call. 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).
Doesn’t last long enough to cut 3 acres even on a full charge and lowest settings. Cuts nicely if the grass isn’t overgrown.

Hello Patches O'Hoohahan. Thank you for sharing your experience. The 60V 60" MaximusZ Zero Turn with (2) 20.0 Ah and (4) 8.0 Ah batteries are designed to cut up to 2.5 acres. Since we are not familiar with the exact conditions of your lawn, it is difficult to determine why the battery life did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a relatively flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage. Cutting tall, thick, or wet grass forces the mower's motor to work much harder and drains the battery significantly faster. A consistent mowing schedule that prevents your grass from growing too high will maximize your runtime. If the grass has been left to exceed four inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait to do another one-third. Set the blade to a higher cutting height. This reduces the load on the motor because it cuts less grass with each pass, which conserves energy. Built-up grass clippings and debris on the cutting deck can increase resistance on the blades, forcing the motor to work harder. Clean the deck regularly to maintain efficiency. Lastly, maintain consistent speed. While it is tempting to mow at maximum speed, a slower, consistent pace will give you a better cut and maximize efficiency. Faster speeds deplete the battery more quickly. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing machine to own if you like cool things. I don't have a large yard, but i live in southern florida where the grass grows hearty and fast. the 80v power and the space saving zero turn for tight spots is a game changer. I only need to recharge once a month and mow every week.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised how well this lawn tractor was built. To have the tray in back to carry 200 pounds and hitches front and rear to pull lawn equipment was a bonus.
