A disappointing decline in performance.

I bought the 256GB version of this product, expecting it to be one of SanDisk's best offerings, similar to their other products. The first year was amazing, with incredible speeds of over 40MBps write and more than 70MBps read. However, over time, the write speed has decreased significantly. Now, the read speed is less than 40MBps, and the write speed is a disappointing 1.3-1.6 MBps. This has left me extremely disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fails and and changes write protected which can't be removed Buying Kingston from now on will make sure all the students are told about this problem

It appears that to use this device you need to download a variety of software. No information is provided on what software or how to do it

They do not require any software or drivers to operate. You can connect the product directly into the computer and start transferring files through the copy/ paste and drag/ drop method.
However, we do provide Privateaccess as a complimentary software with all our USB drives to password protect the drive at a folder level. It is not mandatory to use this software in order to use the USB drive.
