I had the TG XL years ago and I loved it. I am now 55 and needed to re-engage in low impact and stable type of exercises that could accommodate my 6'5 big body. This EVOLVE is a gift from God to me, as it is as smooth as accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend this unit for all body types. I have tried a lot of equipment over my years and this one is very personal.

The Evolve is the Cadillac of total gym, home gyms. I know based upon a lot of reviews folks want an adjustable glide board for the fit, but it wouldn’t compare to the evolve. This is a sturdy piece of equipment that to me out performs the models offered before. I look forward to more accessories catered to this version.

Good exercise focus, some improvement possible. It can help strengthen all the most important muscle groups. Operationally it's a bit weak on leg strength (although adding a weight bar can compensate.) It would help to have a way to hold the inclined pad while getting on and off. I've seen gyms with professional level similar devices set up work arounds to steady this, but that needs two people. Overall, it's a very good machine for home use.

Just in time to help rehab

We had owned at TG 1700 model for a number of years and liked it. As We have aged we were seeking a more "age appropriate" version and decided to go for the Evolve. I am 77y/o recovering from rotator cuff surgery and looking at a total knee revision on an old knee replacement. I have used a Total Gym in Physical Therapy and felt confident the Evolve would fit our needs. It has in every way. The unit is more stable, easier to use, and has the feel of commercial grade equipment.
When I went for knee revision surgery they were impressed by the strength and flexibility I had attained by only one month of use. As I rehab now both the shoulder and the knee are regaining the strength and flexibility I desire. My wife has not had my problems but thoroughly enjoys the routines offered on the Total Gym web site.
Thank you for a quality product that feels worth the money we spent.
