[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my ball because I travel and need something to work out in my apartments. I sustained many injuries during the military and this piece of equipment is helping me get back to mobility. I had a few issues with parts and a simple email to Total Jim. I had the replacements within days. Customer service is top notch and I love the unit.

All the Resistance and Palates you need

I'm 71. To me this is definitely premium of all the home T-Gyms so far. It comes with almost everything. Exercise cards and chart to demonstrate how and what parts of the body you want to work on. I have had it for about two (2) weeks now and enjoying it. This past week I decided to do the Men's 6-8 Minute Workouts on incline 8. Besides it being a resistant workout, it can be used for palates. I want my wife to use it also. Mostly everything I can do at a gym I can do it with this T-Gym. Should have come with a weight bar. I love the adjustable bench to keep it level. That was the other reason I invested in this. I don't feel like I will slide off. You can roll it, just like the other ones.
In December, I invested in an APEX 3 because it was cold this winter in Northern Florida. I wanted to do more than weekend walks. The APEX cost less than our annual gym membership. I was looking for accessories for the APEX, then I noticed the price dropped on the Evolve with an extra price reduction incentive.

There is a reason Total Gym has been around a long time. It Works. Very Simple. It is all you need to get a great resistance workout at home. It helps you stretch, tone, build muscle, pretty much whatever you want it to do. These things are built to last; I got the Evolve and am very happy with it.

Solid Machine

Been using TG Evolve for about a year. Some improvement are
1. Larger base under tower for more stability
2. Marking on section where handles are connected so that easy to place and install pins
3. For some reason tower is tilted making raising the levels difficult.
4. Proving hooks so that the handles are easier to reach while lying face down on bench
Otherwise it’s solid overall machine.

Stable, Versatile, and Smooth

As someone who has a young family and is in medical school, my available time to exercise is VERY limited. This TG makes it possible for me to get a full body workout daily in just about 20-25 minutes. It is so easy to use, extremely versatile, and every movement is smooth. We are living with family during medical school and it’s really nice that this machine folds up and hardly takes any space at all when stored. I would highly recommend the Evolve if you have the budget for it.

I am disappointed with the machine. After using the XLT for 8 years I expected better.
The machine was designed for a tall user. Level 13 and above is very hard to get on.
The weight bar is in the way of getting on. It should be on either end of the glideboard and not in the middle.
The ab crunch handles are very hard to mount. Unless you are tall, it is hard to reach the ab handles once your knees are on the glideboard.
I am disappointed with the machine. After using the XLT for 8 years I expected better.

The biggest problem is raising the glideboard above level 12. It sticks and drags and is very difficult to move it up.Once it is up it is difficult to move it down at first then moving down is good.
It appears Total Gym sacrifised functionality for appearance. The original hook and ladder machine was very good.
