Easy storage and Easy to use.

This unit has not given any problem and is used about 3 times a week to store left overs or bulk food.. Can't remember exactly when was purchased, stores easily and is convenient.
I would recommend this to a friend!

hard to seal

My old one had enough room to seal bags without going in to the vacuum tray. This one only has a 1/16in between sealing strip and the sealing gasket. My old one had 5/16in gap. It was much easier to seal bags that were not perfectly cut on the ends.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sealer is easy to use and extremely convenient. I use it every time I come home from grocery shopping . I vacuum seal all of my meats, before putting them in the freezer. It is so simple to use and put away. This sealer by Foodsaver has only two buttons it can’t get easier to use than that. It is not a bulky appliance. It’s perfect for anyone’s needs!!!

Good Quality Vacuum Food Sealer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using a vacuum food sealer, and I absolutely love this Seal a Meal by FoodSaver. It’s very easy to set up and use. We buy chicken in bulk, and used to freeze in ‘those other bags’. We always had issues with freezer burn. With this vacuum food sealer, it gets all the air out of the bag. We have had no issues with freezer burn. It comes with 4 starter bags. It also has a removable drip tray! It works great, and we use it all the time! I’m very happy with this product!

Cool idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have another brand sealer for my house but wanted a more portable unit for our trailer so I got the Seal a meal by FoodSaver for our trailer. The unit is light and somewhat compact which is what drew my attention to it in the first place. After pulling it from the box and using it for the first time I, unfortunately, was not impressed. This is a basic unit so I was not really expecting much out of it but the unit does not lock to vacuum/seal instead you place your hands on either side of the unit to activate it. I at first thought that was a cool idea but it is awkward and does not work as well as I would have liked. It took too much time and effort to seal a simple bag due to the hand activation process. I had the bag slip out multiple times and or go past the sensor and not activate. Cool idea but just doesn't work for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Seal-A-Meal by FoodSaver. I am someone that likes to buy a lot of my groceries in bulk so having a vacuum sealer was an absolute must for me and my family. This product is extremely easy to use and takes literally seconds to get a perfect vacuum seal for all of my meats. I have had different vacuum sealers in the past and what I have found is that they typically leave pockets of air in the bag which causes my food to spoil quicker. I have never had this issue with this vacuum sealer and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Good features, but it takes a minute

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the food saver, but even after following the instructions it took wasting two of the four bags included to get my first seal. The machine works as intended, but just wish it was a bit more user friendly OR better instructions. For instance, it doesn’t say to remove the vacuum channel. It also isn’t very descriptive of where to place the bag to get a proper seal…improve the photos and add a few lines of further instruction. All in all, the device works as intended after burning through two bags. If you’re really using this then that may not be a big deal as you’ll have extra bags. I’ll be using this soon and look to perfect the process.
