snap handles for lid broke right after using

The processor itself works well. But the plastic on the lid is very poor quality.
The very first time I used it plastic pieces on the lid broke (necessary pieces to keep the snap down handles in place so that the processor will work). I just kept the handle and manually got it snapped down so I could use it (won't turn on w/o both handles snapped in place). Now the other the other handle is broken. And my kids were cleaning the kitchen and I'm not sure where they put the original broken one (that I manually had to fix on there). So, a still pretty new processor is useable at the moment. Need to contact them to see about getting a new lid.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shopped around for this specific brand and model. I've owned many Hamilton Beach appliances and hardly ever replaced them.
Love my kids for getting me a food processor, but haven’t used it much in just over a year. So decided to make something simple with it yesterday. To my surprise I labored to continually stop and push the pueces of apples back down to the blades many times to get the machine to puree two apples. Then one of the times the lid slipped out of my grip while standing over the counter and while attempting to re-grab it before it landed I accidentally slammed it down onto the cutting board and counter, breaking one of the two plastic hinge attachments on the locking mechanism on one side! So, here I am, after only a few uses, looking to replace my locking lid.
