Odd smell

I was very excited to use this system but there is a very strange smell in the water tank that I can’t seem to get of. I noticed it immediately when unpacking the machineZ I’ve washed it multiple times with soap and water and even ran I little bit of vinegar through it but the smell is still there! It makes the water taste strange as well.

So far I like this filter. The filter works much faster than the Berkey which is what I had previously & it’s easier to fill up the tank as well. My water tastes good too.
I do wish that we didn’t have to throw out so much water out (it’s about 1/4 of the tank) and that it held more water than it does. Overall though, I am satisfied with my purchase.

I didn't do the research that Aqua Tru did but by the adjustments I had to make to make it more user friendly, I can only guess they took short cuts in the design of the units internal functions.
One variation I made was by making the spout more visable. Another was to put sliders on feet. Another I turn off every night because of the bright blue light that interferes with sleep. Would like to see a more user friendly fill tank easer to line up when your holding it at arms length. The filters seem to be about the same high price as a full size filter that are on the market, making these filters twice as expensive. Now that you ask, might have to think about looking into a under sink unit to save money. This counter top is just not user friendl in the long run.

Very difficult to maintain clean

At first i thought It was working great, and now im noticing mold growing inside and around the hole areas where the water passes through. It’s very difficult to try to get into to clean, almost impossible! I’ve stopped using it for the sake of my health and cannot find a way to get in there to get rid of the mold. And this is after thoroughly cleaning the machine every single day stated on the directions.

Water filters made the water taste terrible and it made me feel awful

For some reason the water filters that I received kept putting some kind of contaminant in the drinking water. Every time I drink the water I felt awful afterwards. I had to stop using the unit all together. i’m disappointed as I hurt so many wonderful reasons about this product.

We are so happy with our water filter. The water from our sink not only tastes bad, the levels of fluoride and other things found in our city’s water is atrocious. The water from our AquaTru truly tastes amazing and the filtering process doesn’t take long. I’m thankful to have such clean water to drink!
