The water from Aqua Tru

The water from Aqua Tru tastes better than bottled water and will save us money in the long run. My kids like the water too! We all have reusable cups and now I don’t have to dump wasted water left from a water bottle laying around.

Nice looking unit and I was so hopeful this was what we have been looking for. Sadly, it does leak and requires immediately emptying of the waste water (little less than half a tank) when finished filtering. The top of the display screen film was already peeling on the inside of the display. I was prepared to “deal with it” and keep the unit, however after testing water, discovered the filtered water is more acidic than the unfiltered water. My husband said there’s an unpleasant bitter taste to the water. Returned within the 30 day window.

Leaky Problems

I bought the AquaTru countertop RO in 2018 along with an extra pitcher so I could keep one in the refrigerator. Both pitchers started leaking and I was advised to buy a new unit. So I bought a new one and the new pitcher leaks all over the shelf in the refrigerator now. This is so frustrating because I apparently did not need to spend the money on a whole new unit. The water is great but the constant mopping up of leaked water is annoying.

I've had this purifier for 4 years now. Family of 5 adults. It's the only water we drink so we use it a lot. Still works great. Detroit, MI.
