I bought this after official Berkey water black filters became unavailable. The AquaTru product requires a lot of effort to produce a little water, but the taste of the water is good.

Fantastic water filter! I am not your typical water snob. I wanted a filter more because of health considerations but I must say, the water tastes fantastic! I can really taste a difference to the point of us consuming much more water. It’s a win all around.

The only downside to the

The only downside to the AquaTru filter is the ugly black cord (on wall in predominantly white kitchen. . yuck. The machine also is mostly clean looking, white.

Good enough, but not the best.

First of all, the water is delicious. There's no doubt in my mind that the filtration process is exactly as described, because I can taste the difference, tap vs filtered side by side. It's really great.
The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars, is because it's a bulky counter item (which I anticipated), that doesn't produce a lot of water. 1/4 of the filtration tank never actually gets filtered and that 1/4 of water has to be dumped before you refill.
If you're someone like me, who drinks 10+ glasses of water a day, I am dumping and refilling that chamber multiple times a day. As a single person, I'm going to make it work, but there's definitely no way I'd get this for a family. Way too little water, and too much of a hassle.
