[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this new Belkin International - PivotPlug 12-Outlet Surge Protector, with 8 ft. Cord. The materials are very durable and high-quality. The cord is super strong and the outlets can be adjusted on angles for easy plugging in of larger plugs. I love the on/off switch and that it protects so many products at one time. It does not easily overload, as I have 9 things plugged into it, and it is still going strong. I highly recommend if you are looking for a new power strip, with a slimmer design and the ability to power many things at one time, without overloading.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Belkin surge protector is just what I wanted in a surge protector. Often times I find myself playing with a puzzle trying to figure out which cord to put where because many of my cords have a large base. With having large base cords I have to skip the outlet in between because another doesn’t have the room to fit. With this surge protector the 8 outer outlets swivel to make room so I can use all the outlets! I can plug in up to 12 cords at the same time. Also has coaxial protection. 4320 Joules of surge protection which I need in Florida with all the storms. It also has a very long power cord which I’m not use to seeing. It’s 8 foot long. The only thing I wish it had was individual power switches to each outlet instead of having to unplug each device. Otherwise I’m very pleased.
I don't know when I bought this, perhaps 4 years ago. Tonight I noticed that the light was red. I removed all the tools plugged into it, and saw that one outlet was white around it, and the frame of it had started to melt. I'm one lucky lady!
I have the Belkin model exactly like this one, except for the rj11 telephone sockets. The lights are both on, but the unit seems to leak quite a bit of electricity, giving me a not-insignificant shock when handling it. It also puts out quite a flash when plugging anything into it. They don't all do this; do they? Did I get a faulty one?
Worked great until one day it just stopped. I could not reset it hit the button and nothing. No power at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi DonaldF,
The Surge protector is designed to protect your devices against spikes and fluctuations. You can check its indicator light to see if you've encountered power surges or, try to plug the device into a different power outlet for isolation. Please send the results at BelkinCares@belkin.com with your contact details and the link to this review so we assist you accordingly.
Worked well...until it didn’t. Failed within the first year of use.

Hi, jmgjmg,
It is quite unusual for our surge protector to stop working in such a short time as it is engineered for long term use. Please get in touch with us at BelkinCares@belkin.com with your contact details and a link to this post so we can look into this.
This is the best set up for my entertainment center. You never know when a surge is going to destroy your equipment. The pivoting outlets are perfect for wall warts.
