Best birthday gift ever

It is the best popcorn popper I ever got as a gift, I got it on November 16, 2025 for my birthday. Never thought I’d love something so much in my life.

Loads of unpopped kernels, spews popcorn all over

Before the first kernel pops, this machine shoots about 5-10 unpopped kernels into the bowl. The last 5-10 kernels to pop shoot across the room! After the machine finishes popping the 1/2 cup of kernels, it leaves about 15 more unpopped kernels on the popper. So each time you use this thing, it's an adventure. We had none of these issues with our 20 year old Black and Decker hot air popper -- unfortunately it's no longer made. Btw we used Orville Redenbacher's Original kernels with both the old snd the new machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the National Presto PopLite Plus popcorn popper from try it sampling for my honest review. Popcorn by far is my favorite snack. This popper pops almost every single kernel. If you are looking to make a quick, healthy snack then this product is for you. Pops quickly. I like the butter tray on top, it melts your slab while popping for fresh butter flavor. A half a cup of kernels makes a lot of popcorn in this little gem. Easy to clean and store. My new favorite appliance.

We have been using the microwave bags, but I have been wanting to get a regular popcorn machine for a while, because I use to LOVE helping make popcorn when I was little. This one popped up, and I had to get it. Especially since it’s the same color as my other kitchen accessories. It’s super easy to use. Easy to clean. Makes a TON of popcorn from the little tray that you use to measure the kernels. I was honestly surprised at how much that little scoop made. We had to hurry and grab another bowl lol. My only (tiny) gripe, is that the same scoop that makes a ton of popcorn, really doesn’t melt very much butter. At least not for the normal scoop that we use for our family. I usually have to melt more of it in the microwave to help evenly distribute it. Love it, though!
