I absolutely love the look, size and weight of this Mac! It is amazing, however, they really need to do something about the fan! It is so loud and runs all the time with minimal apps open. Not impressed with that. Also, it is necessary to purchase a virus protector now, apple is not nearly as protected as it used to be. Buy this right away!

I had a macbook air 2010 i bought for 350$ used.
Buying this one was the biggest purchase I ever made.
It's worth it tho. Because the keyboard is awesome and smooth - Image is very crispy and great quality !
Speaker very good and camera is still 720 but then again depends what you use it for.

It's an experience MacBook. I love mine. Use it to make more money !
I trade foreign exchange pairs using the MacBook so just make sure you buy it to PRODUCE INCOME. Not just think u're cool with it

Not worth the money for what you’re getting. Save your money and don’t indulge this corporation. If you lose the charger alone you’re looking at 100$, not compatible with airpods or various other Bluetooth devices, and constantly struggles and lags. I had a HP without a battery that did a better job than any apple product I’ve had since. Everything about the laptop is infuriating (:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst webcam quality I have ever seen

Comparing with my 2017 MacBook air
PROS:
Smaller and lighter physically
Touch ID works perfectly
The screen resolution is incredible, much more crisp than the 2017 (which was already great)
Good price, i think i paid the same for my 2017 model

WHAT is going on with the webcam? I had it side by side with my 2017 model and the difference is night and day. I expected the same quality, or better, but this was a major MAJOR letdown. It's so grainy and has a weird orange tint. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple and i'm almost positive the rep was speaking from a script, "it's not worse than the older models" "but some people say it is" "apple recommends that you use better lighting" ... my computer desk is directly in front of a window and the sun is literally shining on my face yet the camera quality is that of a flip phone from 20 years ago, or worse. This is not an exaggeration by any stretch.

According to the apple website, the camera's are basically the same "720p HD". I know 720p isn't a great camera to begin with but I truly had no issues with my 2017 camera quality. Since i'm using my webcam a lot for online classes. I had to spend an additional $150 on a decent webcam and adapter to use it.
My third party bluetooth mouse worked beautifully on my 2017 model, never had a single issue with it until I upgraded to the 2020 MacBook air. Now, the mouse freezes up and lags at least once (but usually more) a day. The only way to resolve the issue is to restart the MacBook. I've tried disconnecting the mouse or turning it off and on but it does nothing. I am certain that the issue resides with the MacBook. I spoke with Apple about this too but they assured me it was the mouse... Lol
