Not as powerful as I would have expected. The counter model is much more effective in getting food particles out of hard to get to areas of the mouth.

After using the standard Waterpik and now going to this model, I can say I am truly disappointed. The other model was easier to hold in your mouth, new model is both larger and heavier. You can only get half of your mouth cleaned, before it runs out of water, therefore taking longer to complete the task. The only advantage to the WP-580 is it takes less room on the bathroom counter.
