Terrible Battery
on July 11, 2026
Posted by: No Samsung Anymore
from California
This is the second one with failed battery in less than a year. Both my wife and I purchased the ring and replaced both under warranty then in about three months the battery failed again. Just buy Ringcon or Oura. Stay away from this overpriced usless product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Greetings,
Thank you for taking the opportunity to reach out and share your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your candor as we continue to make improvements on our product line to align with the needs of our customers. As you know, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please take a moment to review the resources shared to below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your device. If you would like any further assistance afterward, please let us know by reaching out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a treasured Samsung customer.

Battery failute two different rings
on July 9, 2026
Posted by: Rick
from Houston, TX
I liked the ring and its tracking, However, I'm on my second and the battery is failing again and won't hold a charge for a full day anymore, just after the year mark on warranty. Both rings did the same thing, battery failure just past the one year mark. I won't be paying to repair or using the product again.

Greetings Grappledon,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your sentiments provide valuable insights that will assist us with improving our product line to better align with the needs of our customer base. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Did you know that we also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined? Amazing, right? It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. We understand how frustrated you may feel to have a device that may not be performing up to expectations. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring is able to last up to 7 days, depending on usage. We understand how frustrating it may be to not have your device looking as pristine as it was during your unboxing. Here's a few precautions: Prevent the ring from being exposed to dust, sweat, ink, oil, and chemical products such as cosmetics, antibacterial sprays, hand cleaners, detergents, and insecticides. The ring’s exterior and interior may become damaged, which may result in poor performance. If the ring is exposed to any of these substances, clean it using a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use external heat sources, ultrasonic waves, soap, cleaning agents, abrasive materials, or compressed air to clean the ring. Doing so may damage the ring. Feel free to check out, "Keep your Galaxy Ring clean" if you would like to learn more. If you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources linked below, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support at your leisure. Thank you for being a steadfast Samsung customer.

Battery died after 1 year.. how convenient?
on June 29, 2026
Posted by: Cindy C
I traded in my Oura ring for the Galaxy Ring in February 2025. I wanted to avoid Oura's monthly subscription so I thought this ring would be of good value. The ability to use the ring as a remote camera shutter is also an added plus.
Right away, I noticed the Samsung app and health insights were mediocre and far less polished compared to Oura. I was willing to accept that trade-off for a subscription-free experience.
Initially, the battery lasted nearly a week with regular use (sleep tracking, running 1-2x a week). However, just past the 1-year mark, the battery degraded. It now completely dies within 2 to 3 days.
When I contacted Samsung Support hoping for a repair solution, they responded promptly but offered absolutely nothing. I was told the 1-year warranty had expired and there was nothing else they could do... no repair, no battery replacement, no service recovery.
I purchased this ring assuming it would have at least a 3-year lifespan- making it a better value than paying for the Oura subscription. I was wrong.
If you are okay with a less refined app, basic health tracking, and a battery that may become practically useless right after the warranty expires with zero support from Samsung, this ring is for you. Otherwise, it is absolutely not worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery is horrible

I am experiencing a recurring issue with the battery life of my device, as this is the second unit I've owned that exhibits the same problem. The battery performance is severely degraded, to the extent that it cannot sustain operation through a single night. Unfortunately, Samsung has not provided a resolution for this matter.

Battery Fails
on June 28, 2026
Posted by: Smsnguser
from Wyoming
Battery only lasts as long as the warranty it seems, required to pay extra (Samsung care) for extended warranty... because the company is betting on it failing, and wants to still make money off of it.
Also, the silver is a matte finish, so it looks like plastic.
Ive used nothing but Samsung devices for over 10 years. Never had issue until now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there Unknown,
Thanks for reaching out to share your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your sentiments as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to suit your needs. The Galaxy Ring features a premium, lightweight titanium exterior with a concave design that tapers inward. It is highly durable, boasting an IP68 dust/water rating and a 10 ATM pressure rating. We have a few tips in regard to keeping your Galaxy Ring in its original pristine condition:
* Clean the inner sensors at least once a week to prevent foreign materials from blocking biometric detection.
* Use a soft, lint-free cloth. If exposed to lotions, sunscreens, or sweat, rinse with fresh water and a mild, soap-free detergent, then dry thoroughly before wearing.
* Never use external heat sources (like a hairdryer), ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive materials, or compressed air, as these permanently damage the sensors and water seals.
* Shield the ring from dust, ink, oil, insect sprays, and cosmetics. Take it off when applying heavy hand creams or sanitizers to prevent skin irritation and sensor buildup.
* Remove the ring during heavy lifting or strength training. Pressure on the band can cause scratches, dents, or discomfort on your finger.
* While the Galaxy Ring has an IP68 dust/water resistance rating, make sure to avoid high-speed water sports, scuba diving, or wearing it in saunas and steam rooms to preserve the pressure seals.
Check out the resources shared below if you would like to learn more. If you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thanks for being a staunch Samsung customer.
