I can't believe that bars are not required to have one of these awesome gadgets. I am always confident when leaving the bar that I will make it home without losing my license. I love this thing.
This is great tool to prevent the DUIs. The only skepticism I have is when I'll need to send it in for calibration. I'm guessing i will every 6 months. Great gift for family/friends!

I purchased my BACtrack Element Breathalyzer in Dec. 2013 and have used it several times prior to leaving social events. I am very pleased with the analysis and the accuracy the unit provides me. I highly recommend this unit.
So far as ease of use, and general utility, I have found it perfectly satisfactory. I would like to have some way to test the calibration. Having to return it for recalibration is a big a pain. Another issue with returning it, is the question, if one were paranoid enough to think this way, that it would be a rather clever way to collect DNA samples. The worst part, however, is having no way to know whether what it reads would match what a real police device would read.
I have had the BACtrack for 9 months now and it seems to be accurate and very consistent. I figure if it has the same measurement for each attempt-- its consistent and it would indicate accuracy. I also like the speed of the test--its quick and easy. I use the unit as a tool for my safety and my friends safety. Its also has a side benefit of guaging your consumption and effects--and at a party--its a hit. I rarely use it as a conversation piece but it is cool. thanks stu
Used this around 250 times in about 6 months. Has been really helpful to determine when I'm above/below 0.08. It's been consistent until the last couple weeks, I've noticed some discrepancies when testing twice within 5 minutes, which means it's time to ship it to be recalibrated
