My new Whirlpool microwave

Pros and Cons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to purchase a new microwave after our old one lasted 25 years and for the most part we are happy with this one. A couple things could use improvement like backlighting all the items on the control panel so they can be seen easily in low light. And have the button to press to open the door clearly marked instead ot black on black,m again so it is easy to see in low light. Other than that we are happy with iit, easy to learn to operate. It is roomier than our old one and can accomodate larger items easily. The light inside though is pretty dim so you can't see the food you're heating to tell if it is time to take it out without stopping and opening the door to check. A real drawback. Our old machine had a much brighter light so if you were melting something it was easy to see if it was done, a drawback because I depended on that a lot, lke for melting butter quickly.

Smaller microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only got this as it was offered as the only replacement to my previous microwave that had failed and was under warranty. It’s much smaller than the previous one though. Works good but I don’t like that it automatically locks the door and you have to hit a button just to unlock it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only thing not like: cannot see through the door (if something is boiling over, etc.). Forced to pause and open the door each time....annoying.
