Randomly one monitor goes black then comes back on after 10 seconds or so. it is frustrating while working. I changed Cables, swapped monitors, its definitely the dock. otherwise its been a good purchase.
I bought this because I own an Asus Chromebook CX5601 and I wanted a way to dock it and use it with a double monitor setup. This docking station has enabled me to do this seamlessly. This has enabled me to connect my Chromebook with two 4K monitors, a USB keyboard and mouse, and a webcam, and all of it works quickly and flawlessly. Excellent docking station.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this - expensive as it was - because of its "works with Chromebook" claim. Simply put, it doesn't work properly with any Chromebooks I've used, including a Pixelbook go. It either doesn't connect at all, or if it does it takes a ton of tries to get from grainy pixellated-ness, to anything workable. With some flashing crazy stuff in the middle. Incredibly expensive waste of money, and clearly a failed product as it's been "out of stock" for a while.
Good product in term of functionality, works well on any kind of OS and usb-c platform you'll throw at it. Just a bit cheap plastics and conception not on par with same priced concurrent dock.
I love the look of this docking station but...the power button doesn't work. It is super frustrating to spend so much money on a device only to have something not work.
The Hyperdrive 14-port is the best dock I've used for Chrome OS

It's amazing how many ports this thing has! After searching for so long for a good Chrome OS dock I think I've found the best one. PROs: - Detachable USB-C host cable. Makes it easier to set it up and longer lasting. - 3 video outputs make it really futureproof. - Firmware upgrades that require no 3rd party software and can be done with Chrome OS. CONs: -The power output is enough for most Chromebooks and Chromeboxes but it may lack power to drive and charge other devices.
